Self-worth is the value that you place on yourself as a person. It is the belief that you are capable, worthy, and deserving of respect, love, and acceptance but because of past traumas, past hurt and or even how you were raised, the lack of self-worth is really high. Building self-worth is an important part of leading a healthy and meaningful life. It means taking the time to acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses and to recognize your unique qualities not other people telling you about your strengths and weaknesses.

Certain situations that we go through in life helps to see either you are strong enough and will you keep pushing forward, only you have the answer. Self-worth also means understanding that you have the power to make positive changes in your life. So, do not allow negative people, situations or circumstances, make you feel like you are powerless because that is false. You have the power to make these changes to better yourself and to get out of negative situations and to remove yourself from around negative people because you deserve positive people around and to be in positive situations.

We are all different in so many ways, and there are people put in our path to help notice things about self that you may not have noticed before or you’re put in a certain situation ( positive or negative) which helps you to observe how you being different just helped someone else out. It means taking the time to appreciate yourself and the unique gifts you have to offer the world.
